Heather Knight is a process gal. She likes getting her hands dirty making compellingly smooth/not smooth objects she forms from clay (sea urchins come to mind)
Her ceramics biz, Element Clay Studio, is having some successes, like a spot on The Nate Berkus Show, Sherwin Williams Colormix Forecast brochure and Better Homes & Garden gift guide to name a few, including a lovely new studio here in the River Arts on Depot Street.
Heather has been in Asheville since 2002, first studying ceramics @ UNCA (BFA 2006) then moving to the River Arts District first as a resident @ Odyssey. In 2007 Heather opened Element Clay Studio. As a full time studio artist since 2008, Heather continues to be enthralled by nature and how that translates to the modern world of design. Element Clay Studio has a powerful ETSY/DIY side and now a storefront to match @ 362 Depot St. Suite 101
